I have finally caught my breath after almost burning out as I took on too much when returning to work, and ramping up on cross-skilling (training).

This election cycle I asked the candidates for the Town of Midland council one question (albeit a complex multi-part one) about helping those with disabilities achieve employment.

No not mine. Gateway Centre for Learning in Midland has been ‘putting the unity in community’ for an amazing 40 years.
In a recent letter to editor of MidlandToday.ca I wrote that “We need to give municipalities the legal and financial tools to be able to ensure the safety, well-being and success of all residents”. I now add that we also need to make sure councils are not dysfunctional.
The MakerPlace virtual meetings were on a different track than expected for Makerspace, but my reaction was a reflection of a generally negative state of mind.
